Being the largest shellfish
port and one of the largest whitefish ports in Europe
as well as the largest pelagic port in the United Kingdom
Fraserburgh's main industry is heavily concentrated
around the Fishing industry. However Fraserburgh also
has a wide engineering presence. Gray & Adams, based
in the town have been manufacturing refrigerated trailers

role to the local economy. Fraserburgh lands approximately
40,000 tonnes of fish every year. The new fish market
sells almost half a million boxes of fish per annum. |

Fraserburgh harbour has seen significant investment
over the years and has recently opened a new state of
the art ship lift facility. The dry-dock facility completed
in 1992 offers some of the most modern facilities in
the UK.
The town and surrounding areas also benefit from a healthy
tourist industry attracting many thousands of visitors
per year. The wide range of museums, diverse history
and attractions coupled with some of the best seafood
restaurants in the country make Fraserburgh a popular
