Overview

Fraserburgh has a vibrant active community, there are always ongoing events and activities throughout the year. 'Beach-watch', a scheme run by the Marine conservation society are currently recruiting volunteers for the next beach clean and survey.

There are a range of sports facilities in the town for all ages. Most recently built is the Skate Park near the beach - this has proved extremely popular with the youth groups. A new all weather pitch is also available in the same vicinity along with a new sports building. The redesigned play area at the beach offers a safe environment with a range of activities for young children. Nearby there are also cricket pitches, tennis courts, a bowling green and an open area available for a range of other sports activities.

. Towards the end of the old Buchan railway lies a cycle and footpath. There are 2 main routes near Fraserburgh: The Mormond Hill & Water of Philorth route (14Miles Moderate) and the Aberdour bay circular route (13Miles Moderate). Tel: 01224 639012 for further information
