Fraserburgh Young Persons Citizenship Project |
|
The Fraserburgh Young Persons Project: Preparing For Active Citizenship was designed in 2004 with the long-term view of developing an active responsive community. In order to achieve this the project was developed to nurture this in our children and young people and to raise the awareness and facilitate the practical application of civic pride and active citizenship in Fraserburgh. This project is inclusive of all 13 schools within the Community Schools Network. Full description here |

Last term, before Christmas, we had an art teacher called Mr Mitchell who helped us design a mural of the sea life. We live beside the sea shore. Room 5, P6 and P7 all had a chance to paint a picture on a plywood board. It had a 3D effect and it had dazzling seashells on the sand. It was treated so it would last for many years. |

P7 were doing a project on World War 2. They went to the village library and interviewed people who lived during World War 2. It was better than reading a book about it because they were actually there. The people would have been from 4 to 9 years old. |
