The Moonlight Prowl is a charity walk designed to raise the awareness of breast cancer and to raise funds for research in to this disease, which affects the lives of one in nine women throughout the UK. This exciting challenge could be your first step to better health, fitness and making a difference!

Since its launch in 2006 the Moonlight Prowl has attracted support from hundreds of women in the battle against breast cancer. Over £540,000 has been donated to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s Breast Care Centre and, thanks to the support of The Rowett Research Institute and Aberdeen University, a number of potentially life saving and ground breaking research programmes have been established.

Latest News

Since its inception in 2006 the Fraserburgh based Moonlight Prowl has raised over half a million pounds for research into the prevention and treatment of breast cancer at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and the University of Aberdeen.

Event Chairperson Pamela Manett said, “Each year this event goes from strength to strength with the 2011 event raising just over £78,000.   Work is already underway to make the 2012 event one to remember.

This year the Prowl will take place on Saturday 2 June 2012 which is the weekend of the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth.  We are confident the ladies of the Moonlight Prowl will want to celebrate in style.”

Registration for next year’s event will be launched at the Dalrymple Hall and Arts Centre on Saturday 21 January 2012, when ladies will be invited to join the Prowl Committee in a one mile walk to kick start their New Year training programme.

However, don’t worry if you can’t make the launch event.   For the first time ladies will be able to register on line.   Log on to www.moonlightprowl.co.uk for further information on how to take part.
