| Ladysford is situated in the north east of Scotland not far from Scotlands largest fishing town Fraserburgh. The oil industry is also situated nearby and Aberdeen where many companies are based is less than 40 miles away. Ladysford is an ideal base from which to explore the north east coast of Aberdeenshire and Morayshire, sometimes called the "Forgotten" or "Hidden Corner" of Scotland. Visitors can enjoy the spectacular rugged coastline, punctuated by picturesque fishing villages and deserted sandy beaches. As well as the coastline where people enjoy surfing and cycling in the nearby area. The surrounding area offers many visitor attractions including distilleries, museums and many historic buildings and the village of Pennan where the film Local Hero was filmed. |
